Getting Started

Sign up for an account, subscribe ($9.99/mo per team), and create your team. You can import players from a spreadsheet or add them one by one. The whole setup takes about 5 minutes.

Nope. Fungo works in any web browser on your phone, tablet, or computer. No app download required. You can bookmark it or add it to your home screen for quick access — it works just like a native app.

Yes. One account can manage as many teams as you need — different seasons, different divisions, even different sports. Each team has its own roster, schedule, settings, and subscription.

Yes. Fungo supports both baseball and softball across all age divisions, from T-Ball through Senior League. Rules, positions, and pitch count thresholds adjust automatically based on your division settings.

If you can send a text message, you can use Fungo. We built it for volunteer coaches who don't have time to learn complicated software. Most coaches are set up and running in under 5 minutes.

Pricing & Billing

Your first team is completely free — forever. Full access to every feature. Additional teams are $9.99 per month each. Cancel anytime, no contracts.

No. Your first team is free with no credit card required. You only need payment info when adding a second team.

Each team has its own roster, schedule, lineup history, and data. Per-team pricing keeps things clean and means you only pay for what you use beyond your free team.

Your first team is always free. Each additional team is $9.99/mo. If you're a league administrator, the League tier (coming soon) will cover every coach in a division for a flat $99/mo.

Never. Parents can view schedules, RSVP for games, see lineups, check snack assignments, and manage their child's profile — all completely free.

Go to Settings in your dashboard. The Billing section shows your free team and any paid subscriptions, lets you cancel or reactivate, and links to Stripe to update your payment method.

Your data stays intact and you keep access through the end of your billing period. Your free team is never affected. Resubscribe anytime to pick back up where you left off.

Team Setup & Roster

From your dashboard, click "Create Team." You'll select your league, division, and season (or create new ones), name your team, and you're set. Your first team is free — no credit card required.

Go to your team page and open the Roster tab. Click "Import CSV" to bulk-add from a spreadsheet, or use the "Add Player" button to add one at a time. You'll enter their name, and optionally their jersey number, date of birth, and school.

Yes. Go to Roster → Import CSV and upload your file. Fungo will auto-detect columns like first name, last name, DOB, and jersey number. You can also manually map columns if needed. It'll even match against existing players in your league to avoid duplicates.

Go to your team's Roster tab and click "Invite Assistant Coach." Fungo generates a one-time invite link you can share via text or email. When your assistant clicks it, they'll create an account (or log in), see the roster, and can optionally identify their child on the team. The link expires after 7 days.

When you add a player, you can add their parent's contact info. Fungo sends the parent an invite email to claim their child's profile. Once claimed, they can RSVP to games, view schedules, see lineups, and get team messages — all for free.

On the Roster tab, find the player and click the remove button. The player's data isn't deleted — they're just removed from this team's active roster. Their career history stays intact.

Lineups

Go to a game on your Schedule tab and click "Create Lineup." Fungo uses your player evaluations, league rules, position preferences, and attendance to generate a lineup automatically. It handles batting order, defensive rotations, bench time, and pitching assignments — all in one click.

Yes. Generated lineups are a starting point. You can drag players between positions, reorder the batting lineup, adjust pitching assignments, and make any changes you want. Fungo will flag any edits that violate your league's rules.

Fungo enforces your league's specific rules — minimum play requirements, mandatory position rotations, inning sit-out limits, pitcher-to-catcher restrictions, and more. Rules are tier 1 and always take priority. Your coaching preferences (like position safety) are tier 2.

Yes. From any game's lineup page, click "Share" to generate a link. You can copy the link, or enter the opposing coach's email to send it directly. They don't need a Fungo account or subscription to view it. Links expire after 7 days.

You control when lineups are visible. Once you publish a lineup, parents can see their child's position in the batting order and on defense. You can also print the lineup card for the dugout.

The generator factors in player evaluations (skill ratings), position preferences you or parents have set, safety considerations (like not putting inexperienced players at pitcher or first base in certain divisions), historical rotation data, and your league's specific rules.

Schedule & Games

Go to your team's Schedule tab and click "Add Game." Enter the opponent, date, time, and location. Fungo integrates with Google Places so you can search for fields and parks. Parents are automatically notified about new games.

When you add a game, parents receive an RSVP notification. They can respond yes, no, or maybe with one tap. You see real-time attendance counts on the game page. Reminders go out automatically to parents who haven't responded.

Go to the Snacks tab on your team page. You can assign families to specific games for snack duty. Parents get notified when they're assigned and receive a reminder before the game.

Draft

Click "Draft" from your dashboard and follow the setup wizard. Select your league, division, and season, add the player pool (import from CSV or manually), configure the draft format, invite managers, and schedule the date. You need an active team subscription or commissioner subscription to create a draft.

Yes. Each manager gets a link to join the draft from any device. Everyone sees the same live board in real-time — whether they're in the room or on their couch at home.

Fungo supports snake drafts (alternating direction each round), linear drafts (same order each round), and custom draft orders. All formats track picks automatically with complete history.

Yes. You can view league-provided tryout evaluations and add your own private notes and ratings. Your personal notes are only visible to you — other managers can't see them.

Each manager gets their roster automatically. Drafted players are assigned to teams, and managers can immediately start using Fungo's team management tools — scheduling games, generating lineups, inviting parents, and more.

Pitch Counts & Player Safety

After a game, go to the game page and enter pitch counts for each pitcher. Fungo automatically calculates required rest days based on your league's rules — including the Little League pitch count thresholds by age.

Fungo tracks every pitcher's recent activity and calculates who's eligible based on your league's rules — pitch count thresholds, mandatory rest days, consecutive pitching day limits, and pitcher-to-catcher restrictions. When you build a lineup, ineligible pitchers are automatically excluded from the pitching rotation.

Yes. If a pitcher throws 41 or more pitches in a game, Fungo flags them as ineligible to catch for the remainder of that day. This is automatically reflected in the lineup generator.

Yes. On any player's profile, you can see their recent pitch counts, rest day calculations, and eligibility status for upcoming games.

Communication & Parents

Go to your team's Messages tab. You can send announcements to the whole team or direct messages to individual parents. Messages are delivered via email and show up in the parent's Fungo dashboard.

Parents can view the schedule, RSVP to games, see published lineups, check snack assignments, view their child's profile, set position preferences, and receive team messages. All free, no subscription needed.

When you add a parent's contact info to a player, Fungo sends them an invite email. They click the link, create a free account, and their child's profile is automatically linked. They can then see all team activity for their child.

Yes. Once a parent claims their child's profile, they can set preferred positions. These preferences are visible to the coach and factored into the lineup generator as a tier 2 consideration (after league rules).
