Little League Mission Statement LITTLE LEAGUE BELIEVES IN THE POWER OF YOUTH BASEBALL TO TEACH LIFE LESSONS THAT BUILD STRONGER INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITIES. Since its inception in 1953, Southwest Little League has been Bay City's West Side location for youth baseball. For over 65 years, Bay City Southwest has provided a safe, fun, and community based organization for our youth athletes. We believe in the power of youth baseball to teach life lessons that build stronger individuals and communities.
History
Bay City Southwest Little League was founded in 1953 and has been serving the Bay City, Michigan area for over 70 years. The league has a proud tradition of youth baseball development, highlighted by winning the Michigan District 14 Championship. The league celebrates multi-generational family involvement, with boasts of three generations of families having played in the program.
