History

Canyon Lake Little League was founded in 1976 by a group of dedicated dads who cleared and prepped open fields at Mountain Valley Elementary for their kids to practice, since the league had no fields of its own at the time. In 1976–77 two fields were built near the school, and in 1978–79, with donations from the VFW, PEC, and Charlie Moore, bleachers were installed and CLLL earned its first charter to play in Little League International tournaments. The league operated under District 31 beginning in 1996. Around 2005, practices and games moved to the Hidden Valley Sports Complex, the league’s current home. Through the decades, countless volunteer coaches and parents have shaped CLLL into a cornerstone of the Canyon Lake, Texas community.
