About Deer Park Little League
Deer Park Little League is an all-volunteer organization serving the children of Newport News, Virginia since 1954. Offering baseball and softball programs for youth aged 4–16, the league focuses on developing leadership, life skills, and character, and proudly sponsors the Challenger program for youth with physical and mental challenges.
History
Deer Park Little League has served the Newport News community since 1954, making it one of the city’s oldest sanctioned Little Leagues. As a fully volunteer-run organization, it has provided baseball and softball opportunities for children aged 4–16 throughout its history. For over 16 years, Deer Park has also sponsored the Challenger program, giving youth with physical and mental challenges the opportunity to participate in an athletic environment tailored to their abilities.
