Garden City South/West Hempstead Little League serves the West Hempstead, New York area with youth baseball and softball programs for players of all ages. Established in 1954, the league plays at Cherry Valley Field and Echo Park Field, offering spring and fall seasons, professional pitching clinics, and a commitment to teaching sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play.
History
Garden City South/West Hempstead Little League was established in 1954, making it one of Long Island's longest-running youth baseball and softball organizations. Now in its 71st season, the league has continually invested in its facilities, including the installation of two new scoreboards and a PA system throughout its Cherry Valley Field and Echo Park Field complex. The league offers summer and fall programs in addition to its spring season, and has expanded its reach to include any child age 4-7 regardless of residence boundaries.
