About Hillcrest Lakers
Hillcrest Lakers is a non-profit multi-sport youth organization serving boys and girls in Yonkers, New York, offering baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, flag football, golf, and lacrosse for children ages 4 to 18. With over 750 families registered, the club offers both recreational and competitive travel divisions organized and supervised by parent volunteers.
History
Hillcrest Lakers was incorporated in the early 1960s as a non-profit sports organization serving boys and girls residing in the city of Yonkers. The club offers a year-round program including soccer, basketball, baseball and softball, flag football, golf, and lacrosse for children ages four to eighteen. The majority of Club members generally reside in the Northeast section of Yonkers. Today the Hillcrest Lakers Board consists of 19 members dedicated to offering the children of the community a heightened sense of self-esteem through recreational and competitive sports.
