About Mill Valley Little League
Mill Valley Little League played its first game in 1954, with four teams: the Mill Valley Yankees, Mill Valley Indians, the Sausalito Giants and the Tiburon Braves. Opening Day was May 22nd, and the season ran through August 6th. The Mill Valley Yankees closed the season by nosing out the Tiburon Braves 5-3 for the league championship. 20 years later, in 1974, Jenny Fulle took the field for the MVLL Bears, becoming the first girl to legally play Little League Baseball in the United States.Today, more than 70 years after our first game and 50 years after Jenny broke the gender barrier, MVLL has more than 700 kids (boys and girls) ages 5 through 14 playing baseball. Hundreds more youth participate through our umpiring, concessions, and field maintenance programs. Scores of volunteers make it all happen, putting in tireless hours to ensure MVLL’s success. From our goosebumps-inducing Opening Day Parade and Ceremony through the excitement of our Super Saturday City Championships, MVLL
