ABOUT NORTH SHORE LITTLE LEAGUE Building skills. Building character. Building community. Since 1963. Founded in 1963 in Rocky Point, NY, North Shore Little League has been a cornerstone of youth baseball and softball on Long Island for more than six decades. Our mission is simple: give kids a safe, positive, and competitive place to learn the game, grow as athletes, and develop character that lasts well beyond their playing years. North Shore Little League is proud to be one of the few Little League’s on Long Island that maintains its own fields—a responsibility we take seriously, and one we shoulder entirely through volunteer effort. From mowing the grass to chalking the lines, our fields are cared for by people who love this league just as much as the players who run on them. Run By Volunteers. Built For Families.
