About Orwall Little League

ORWALL Mission Statement Little League Baseball, Incorporated is a non-profit organization whose mission is to “promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways, the interest of those who will participate in Little League Baseball, Challenger, and Softball.” Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, the Little League program assists children in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being. By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty, the Little League Baseball and Softball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes. ORWALL is part of East Texas State District 28 which includes Northwest 45, Conroe, Tomball and Montgomery Little Leagues. ORWALL is within the boundary of several High School Baseball and Softball programs: College Park, Oak Ridge, The Woodlands High School, Grand Oaks High School, The John Cooper School and the Woodlands Christian Academy.

History

ORWALL (Oak Ridge Woodlands Area Little League) is part of East Texas State District 28, operating as two separate and distinct Little League organizations—ORWALL American and ORWALL National—under a single Board of Directors and sharing a 16-acre baseball facility with 10 fields in Spring, Texas. Coaches, team moms, and board members are volunteers, and ORWALL is primarily funded by membership fees and community sponsorships. During the Spring season, over 1,500 kids play on more than 130 teams across 12 age divisions (ages 4-17). The league has earned numerous accolades: its safety manual was recognized as the best in the Southwest Region from 2010–2013 and best in all of Little League in 2014. ORWALL has won multiple District 28 National All-Star tournament championships, and its Big League team has advanced to the Big League World Series multiple times.
