About Ridgefield Boro Athletic Organization

You Make it Possible RBAO strives to provide the best possible experience for the youth in our community thanks to our dedicated coaches, volunteers and our generous sponsors. With their support we are able to continue to offer this great youth sports program year after year. Clubhouse Story In May of 1955 the RBAO Clubhouse was erected by one of the early executive councils of the league. It was dedicated to the Youth of Ridgefield where it still stands today some 60 years later. As council members come and go one thing remains the same, the dedication this organization has to the children of Ridgefield. Five Fireman Story Five Fireman’s Field is named in remembrance of Chief Gustave Genschow, Harry Brown, Dominick Acquafredda, James Edwards and James I. Lauria. All five perished on October 15, 1967 after responding to a call at the Cardinal Lanes bowling alley on Anderson Avenue in Cliffside Park. The men were killed when a wall collapsed on them minutes after they arrived at the scene. All 5 men were members of Firehouse Company #2 on Bergen Boulevard.
