About Wausau Little League

Wausau Youth Baseball & Softball, Inc. (WYBS) is a volunteer-driven youth sports organization serving the Wausau, Wisconsin area since 1953. The league offers recreational baseball and softball programs for children across a range of age groups, operating under the Little League and Babe Ruth organizations. WYBS is committed to teaching fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a positive and fun environment.

History

Wausau Youth Baseball was founded in 1953 as a Little League International affiliate, providing baseball opportunities for the youth of Wausau, Wisconsin. Over the following decades the program grew steadily, and in the mid-1990s softball was added under the Babe Ruth organization, prompting the organization to rename itself Wausau Youth Baseball & Softball, Inc. Today WYBS is entirely volunteer-run and supported by an extensive network of coaches, board members, team parents, and local sponsors.
